Celebrating 30 Creative Years: A Fond Farewell to Linda Ellis

It is the end of an era here at Market Quarter Pontypridd as we say a heartfelt farewell to a true cornerstone of our community, Linda Ellis.

After an incredible 30-year plus stretch, Linda is hanging up her mitre saw at Linda’s Picture Framing and Art Supplies. Linda’s journey with us began with a humble barrow stall, where she delighted shoppers with her handmade soft toy animal replicas. Over the decades, she evolved those creative skills into a master craft, becoming a proud member of the Guild of Commended Framing with the Fine Art Trade Guild.

Linda hasn’t just framed memories; she has championed the local art scene. As a keen artist and long-time member of the Pontypridd Art Society, she turned her stall into a gallery, offering a space for local talent to display and sell their work.

Linda, you have been a prominent and beloved face in our market family. While we are sad to see you go, we are so happy for your next chapter—and we’ve been promised regular visits from Linda and her sidekick, Lexy the dog!

The business and Linda’s wonderful legacy will continue under new ownership, and we look forward to introducing you to the new team.

The new owners are Mother and Son team called "Bridge & Foundry" who are currently working hard on refurbishing and revitalising their unit with the help of the dedicated team of craftsmen at the Market Quarter.
