Something special is brewing in the heart of our town and we are thrilled to be right at the centre of it!  Pontypridd is officially bidding to become the UK's first ever Town of Culture in 2028 and has been selected from 398 towns across the UK to secure its spot on the Top 15 shortlist.

We, the Market Quarter Pontypridd, are proud to host the brand new Pontypridd28 Cultural Hub and to have part of the journey start right her under our roof.  The Cultural Hub is located inside our Penuel Arcade. 

So, whether you’ve shopped with us for decades or are visiting for the first time, this new hub is your dedicated space to pop in, discover what the bid is all about, and help shape the future of our town.  Pontypridd’s rich history, vibrant community, and unique spirit have always been reflected in our market town and now you have a direct say in showcasing that to the whole U.K.

How You Can Get Involved?

Visit the Hub: Drop by Penuel Arcade Wednesday through Saturday, between 10am and 4pm. Chat with the team, share your ideas, and tell them what culture means to you.  Have your say in what cultural events you would like to see coming to Pontypridd.
